Imaging-Guided Breast Biopsy
MRI-guided, stereotactic-guided or ultrasound-guided breast biopsy is a nonsurgical method to remove a sample of cells from a mass in breast tissue. The goal of the procedure is to obtain a small sample of tissue from the breast, which will be analyzed to determine whether it is cancerous or not.
