Meet Dr. Ashish Patel

Dr. Patel was born in London, but grew up in western India during his early years. He moved to California with his parents and then settled in the Midwest by age 14. He went to college in Chicago, Iowa for medical school and then Milwaukee for residency. Drawn towards the art of integrating diagnostic and fine procedural skills, he chose to sub-specialize in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at University of Chicago - Pritzker School of Medicine, under the internationally recognized expert in VIR, Dr. Brian Funaki.

Dr. Patel's clinical interest include, locoregional oncological therapy (including Y90/TACE), minimally invasive fibroid therapy (UFE), prostate artery embolizationcomplex IVC filter retrievals, vertebral augmentation, transplant, biliary, dialysis and trauma interventions, as well as vascular malformation (including pulmonary AVM). He has extensive experience in mesenteric arterial and venous interventions, as well as image guided biopsies and ablation.

He is happily married, loves to travel and hike and trying out new restaurants.
